Community Service of Newburyport Executive Director Ray Pillidge

In the first of what will be an annual event, Community Service of Newburyport (CSN) On Wednesday (Nov. 15) put on an awareness breakfast at the Senior Center in Newburyport. Executive director Ray Pillidge explained CSN ‘s mission and emphasized that despite the relative affluence in Newburyport, Newbury and West Newbury, there are many struggling individuals and families here. Local luminaries numbering 132 jammed the Senior Center to hear Pillidge, CSN President Barbara Oswald and Newburyport Mayor Sean Reardon praise the vital role CSN plays in the three communities.. CSN board member Frank Cousins was master of ceremonies while First Religious Society Reverend Rebecca Bryan offered the blessing. Reps. Adrianne Ramos and Dawne Shand spoke briefly.
